Silly question but do the credits for referrals roll over until they are depleted? Or is a one time deal when your balance it applied you loose the balance of the credit?Just wondering as we had a credit of $75 and our monthly bill which was less then the credit was deducted but now the dashboard shows $0.00 in credits.
Referrals do roll over, but the display in the dashboard does not. Not to worry - I see you still have credit left! It will definitely be applied to your next bill :)
I was going to start a new thread, but decided to steal this one. My friend just received her phone and we activated it. Glad to say that within 5 minutes I saw my referral in my account, but I only got $50, when the referral page says you'd get $75 for your first ever referral. Is that a mistake, or maybe it's something that has to be verified manually by customer service?
You're right for your first referral ever until March 17th 2013 the amount should be $75 so I've now added the additional $25 to the account. Sorry about the mix up but everything is looking good now. It can be seen in your account under billing : )
Thanks a lot. I do see the change in my account. It still amazes me that the cheapest and most flexible service I've found also has some of the fastest and most helpful customer service around.

I'll go ahead and pile on. I also just had my first friend referral activated today and just got the $50 credit and was thinking of opening a support ticket to get the other $25 credited. Could you check on that and update my account as well?

Additional referral question:
I'm going to use my friend's referral link, but their phone is still in the mail, so they don't have the link yet.
Can I order my refurbished phone now and still use their referral link to activate, or do I have to order the phone through their link for them to get the credit.
Also, I did use a promo code earlier, before I knew I would have a friend referral. Do I have to clear my cookies, or will the referral link override the promo link?
You must purchase the device using your friend's link - you can't apply it after a purchase has been made. Any new link you use will override the last one, though, so just use your friend's link and you'll be good to go!

I sent an email yesterday, but haven't heard back, so I thought I'd post here.
My mother signed up with my referral link, and I signed up with phil.ting.com, but I'm not seeing the credits for either.

Referral credits show up as soon as the referred phone has been activated, providing the person you referred signed up directly through your link!
Sean, if it applied properly it means you'll get a $25 credit towards your service since you brought a phone over. If you find it didn't apply when you receive your bill though, please give us a call.

I sent a referral link to my friend on May 31st and he successfully activated the service. When I checked my account I didn't find any credit applied.
I emailed Ting the same day but got nothing back. I submitted a request couple days later and still no luck, I called Ting yesterday and the lady said she would check into that and email me the results and that didn't happen. I feel like I am completely ignored. I liked you guys much and was recommending you to many people without any referral links...I understand that there could be something I didn't do right but at least if someone would respond and explain that to me.
Hi Dmytro. We actually didn't receive your email on the 31st, unless you sent it from a different address. We're going to check into the ticket you opened with us since then to see what's going on though.
I don't know if that helps but I have 2 email addresses under the same Yahoo account, one is used on my Ting account but the other one was used to send the referral link...maybe that was an issues.
