The directions below will guide you through resetting most feature phones back to factory defaults. While not all feature phones can be backed up first, you'll want to check if yours has that option and do that before resetting your phone.
Before proceeding for CDMA devices we strongly suggest ensuring your active device is not on the list of obsolete Sprint devices.
If a carrier reset, profile, or PRL update are performed on an already active phone on the list it will be unable to activate and will need to be replaced. New activations will not be possible unless the phone can be manually programmed.
The only solution is to manually program the phone if possible (data usage is not possible with activations via manual programming) or to obtain a new device. Please contact support for help troubleshooting or activating with these devices.
You can try the backup steps here or check your phone's manufacturer information. Once you've completed your back up, follow the steps below:
- Press the Menu/OK button
- Using the up/down keys, go to Settings and select it using the OK button
- Select Reset/Delete
- Enter your lock code - This may not be the same as your MSL as feature phones often have a 4-digit lock code or PIN. The default is often 0000, 1234, 1111 or the last four digits of your phone number.
- Select Reset Phone
- Confirm that you want to reset
- The phone will go through the reset process and then reboot
