The following steps will help you get your GSM device up and running with Ting.  Please note: newer Blackberries use the Android operating system and require APN settings for that system.

Please note, only BlackBerry 10 devices or newer are supported on the GSM network.

1. Reset APN to Defaults

Before beginning these directions, insert your activated Ting GSM X1 SIM card.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Network Connections
  3. Tap Mobile Network
  4. Tap the Settings icon
  5. Tap the Restore to default icon
  6. Tap Restore

2. Add Ting Data APN Settings

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Network Connections
  3. Tap Mobile Network
  4. Tap the Settings icon
  5. Tap the APN field
  6. Enter:  wholesale
  7. Leave the Username and Password blank
  8. Tap Save
  9. Restart your device and wait for it to find the Ting network--this may take a minute or so
  10. Confirm that you're able to access data in the browser.

3. Add Ting MMS APN Settings

  1. Go to the Text Messages app
  2. Tap the menu icon (3 vertical dots)
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Text Messages
  5. Tap the Advanced menu icon at the bottom of the screen (two horizontal lines with circles on them at the bottom of the screen)
  6. Scroll down to MMSC Settings
  7. Tap MMSC URL
  8. Enter:  http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
  9. Tap the Save icon (file folder with a check mark in it)
  10. Tap the back to get you back to the main messaging menu
  11. Test picture messaging

**If you got to this page by way of a link in the activation process, go back to that browser tab and click "It worked" to see your phone number.**
