FM Radio Chip Activation

1. Does Huawei Nexus 6P  have a FM Radio chip (Specs sheet unclear)

2. When will T-Mobile activate the FM Radio chip. (Scheduled for late 2016 - early 2017)

    I had to by a digital watch to get the FM radio capability.  Will the deep-web have a hack?  Rooting the phone will not help activate the chip.

    I doubt that the antenna in the phone is able to pick up FM. The portable FM radios relied on the headphones to be the antenna because you need a long antenna to pick up FM.

    From what I've read the Nexus 6p does not have a FM chip.

    I've seen some conflicting information as well. Most say the FM hardware is not built into the device. Afraid this is as much insight as I can offer here related to Ting.
