Voting buttons invisible on Mac - make visible! Answered

Rich Gray

On Mac, the voting up/down control is invisible until one hovers over the space between the vote count and the person's avatar.  Might get more voting if the control was visible.   Same result under three browsers:

  • Seamonkey: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0 SeaMonkey/2.46
  • Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:51.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/51.0
  • Safari: Version 10.0.3 (11602.  - they don't make it easy to get the user agent...

Agree on all fronts. Tabulating your votes is uber important to us. We are in the midst of a site redesign, however, this community forum is not on the current roadmap. I think at the least, a re-evaluation of that priority will be discussed at our next meeting. Thanks for sharing Rich and Chad.

Same behavior is seen on Windows 7 with browsers:

    chrome 58.0.3029.110 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

    Pale Moon 27.3.0 (firefox derivative). Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:27.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/27.9 (Pale Moon)

Thanks for the info about the location of the voting controls.
