I bought a tmobile revvl plus from somebody and it was dead. after going home and charging it they did a factory reset and didn't know the gmail account and now has a Factory Reset Protection asking me for previous username and password. I cannot get ahold of the person and am now stuck with the phone. what do I do, can I downgrade the android os software and reprogram the phone?? what do I do anybody seen this happen before?? thanks

  • Hey John,

Factory Reset Protection isn't a security feature that can be disabled without the previous username and password. I recommend continuing to get ahold of your seller. Without that information, I don't know of a way to remove FRP.

  • I may be ableto walk you through it. It would also depend on the device. If your device is Samsung I have a %90 Removal rate
