Ting totally messed up my vacation in France. You are useless. I hate this company

I called 2 months before traveling, spoke with customer service to make sure my phone would work in France. They checked my account, assured me it would.  I read all of the info on the Ting website about international travel and rates and making sure international roaming is enabled.  I called again the week before traveling just to make sure. Yes, customer service said. My phone will work  

Well guess what?  THEY LIED!!!  IT DID NOT WORK.  VERIZON TING SIM CARDS DONT WORK. ONLY TMOBLE TING  SIM CARDS WORK.  WHY DOES IS THIS NOT WRITTEN ANYWHERE IN THE TRAVEL SECTION?  WHY DIDNT CUSTOMER SERVICE CHECK THIS WHEN I CALLED ?  I DID MY PART. TING TOTALLY FAILED.

Ting ruined parts of my vacation!!!  Could not access train tickets, or hotel reservations, or Google translate, or Metro maps.  Even after switching to a pre paid French SIM, I could not access my email because the security check is my Ting  phone number.  TING SCREWED ME OVER . Cost me a lot of time and money.  And now in my bill, you charge me for international roaming ? How the heck can I have roaming charges if I didn't have service?   I waited  years to be cancer free and  then done with Covid restrictions to celebrate our 20th wedding in Paris.   Ting made the trip complicated and stressful.  I hate you.

This is definitely not the type of experience we want you to have with Ting Mobile and I am sending this over to our customer support team managers so that they can provide feedback to those that caused these issues.

    I had the same problem in China in May and June. Though international service was enabled, I had no service the entire time I was in China or Hong Kong. I contacted Help when I had internet access but they were not able to resolve the issue. I had problems trying to leave the country because I could not do a health form on my phone because I could not get a verification text to use the airport wifi. China does everything on smart phones so I was very limited by having no service. If I had not been there with other people I would have been screwed. I still have no idea what the problem was. I am going to New Zealand in November and certainly hope international service will work there.
