Hi Elias,
Without the IMEI we can't run the checker to confirm a yes or no. If it's listed as not compatible on the Motorola website I would defer to that and say it's most likely that it is not compatible with us. Usually, the cause of this is there is a lack of VoLTE but it might be worth reaching out to Motorola support to confirm.
Hi,
The phones in question (Motorola G 2022 and now 2023) are listed to support VoLTE. I am trying to get in touch with someone at Motorola to verify what their problem with Ting is.
Here are 2 pertinent stanzas from the specs page:
and strangely these two
page is here
.
Motorola says that it is entirely up to Ting to negotiate support for the TAC, which is a NON-UNIQUE and MODEL SPECIFIC part of the IMEI.. so the question is, why doesn't Ting know if they support a TAC or model of device?
Can I get any kind of update on this? I would like to avoid buying, then returning a phone because I had to get an IMEI to determine if the unlocked phone that supports VoLTE is supported by Ting, when the first 8 characters of the IMEI are not unique and based on phone model.
