Downloadable as CSV or XML

Previously I heard this was on it's way. Any idea when this may be becoming available as current or billing data?

  • Hi Mark,

This is currently in development, and I would expect to see it in the new year. Thanks for taking the time to write!

  • I was just looking for this today. I would like to download the text messaging details for me and my wife to find out how much we text to each other and whether switching to a different messaging app would put us in a smaller texting bucket.

  • Oh, I just found it in the Billing section of the dashboard. Thanks!

  • As of a few days ago, the CSV download of the most recent bill details fails.  Clicking on the icon has no effect.

  • Hi Raphael,

I haven't had any reports of anyone else having issues downloading the recent bill from their account. You may want to try restarting the web browser that you are using to see if that allows you to download the file. If you try that and are still having issues downloading your bill we would have to look into it through our support.

  • Restart of Firefox: same problem.  I have disabled ad blocker and ghostery to make sure they are not contributing to the problem.  Chrome: similar problem; clicking on the download icon brings me to a new blank tab but does not download anything.

  • I am also not able to download CSV's for my bill. In Chrome it opens a blank tab.

  • Have same CSV download problem as above, except using Edge opens a blank tab. Last bill data able to download was July 2021.

  • Same CSV issue as everyone else here. After a double-click in Firefox or Safari, this window shows up:

    Download error

Error downloading usage for undefined. Try again in a few minutes.

  • I have a workaround, emphsis on "work".  It has made the task possible even if it takes 10 times longer than it used to.

Under the billing details page for the month we can view each subsection.  There they do give a very limited view of usage. Same rows, fewer columns, but they are the columns that matter most.  My current "fix" is to litterally copy/paste that block of text into notepad then CTRL-H it into a form that Excel or SQL can deal with.

Ting/Dish please bring back functioning CSV exports.  Until then a nice olive-branch would be to make the info on the details pages deliniated or at least be consistantly formatted.

  • This is what customer service told me..."This is a known issue. At the time we are unaware if the feature will come back. We can send you the data manually."

They were able email the CSV files I needed.

  • It seems this issue was never fixed?  I tried Chrome, MS Edge, and Firefox, on two different computers.

This feature is pretty important to me, as I need to account for actual usage and bill users according to their usage (shared plan).

  • I am just checking each month to see if it is fixed. So I am still using my work around.

Ting backend billing was probably shifted to the Dish billing and this script has not been adapted and/or given permission to access. Or it could but it poses a security risk until vetted.

I love the feature, but it is a niche use case that probably somewhat contributes to slower turnover into unlimited accounts. I myself am considering offloading high-data employees onto self-managed accounts of their choosing on a stipend.

  • I have a backlog of bills since July 2021 to split up for family members. Just discovered I can't download CSVs.

  • Even if the formatting was a touch more consistant, that would save so much effort.  Because "incoming" is included, but "outgoing" is not.  It means a bit more effort tweaking the "find/replace" terms every month.

My company is now offering a base stipend for anyone who wants to go with an unlimited account, so this problem should shrink for me if Ting/Dish isn't willing to fix this bug.
