It would be great if I could click on a number on the call log and add an alias for it. Such as "Mom" or "Pizza". Then the number on the dashboard would show this alias instead of the number, or above the number. It would be a list that is just for my account and would make it easier to know who I am calling or texting a lot.
Add Names For Numbers

I'd be interested in hearing from others about this feature. We've had it on our "Maybe Someday" list since before we launched but we've never had much demand for it and that means it doesn't really stand much of a chance of making it to the priority list.
Personally I don't care much about this. If it were done, I would want to see some way to import contact names (possibly connect to Google Contacts).
Side note: the Unofficial Android app compares numbers against your phone contacts if you just want to see the list from your device.
I would love to have a feature like Michael suggested. Being able to enter a list of nicknames for all of my son's regular friends would make it easy for me to see who he's calling/texting. Unusual numbers would show up in the list as raw numbers, and would stand out when I'm skimming the list.
There's no need to import an entire address book. I just want to manually enter a handful of names. Allowing us to click on a number in the device call/text log would make this _really_ easy for the customer.
I would like to have this feature also. Its easier to track the kids calls if I can save some names into the list. Gotta watch the pre-teens, ya know!!!!
+1 on this. I also noticed that the Mobile app does read your contacts. For example, if I open the iOS app, I see the name of the person I texted/called instead of their number.
A very similar feature request was made here.
This is marked as "not planned" for now, but that all depends on how numerous your collective voices can get. Thanks for the feedback. Keep 'em coming.
Definitely a nice feature to add, especially when verifying billing charges. You used to were able to do it on the app, but I can't find it anymore.
Noelle - it works in the app in ios if you give the app permission to read your phone contacts.
Hi Noelle.
Yonah is right, you need to give the Ting app permission to read your contacts. Feel free to submit a support request if you need a hand with that.
