Play store billing

When I was on Sprint, I was able to have Play Store purchases added to my monthly bill. I don't like seeing purchases for $0.99 on my credit card statement (too many can flag your card), and having it added to my phone bill made everything nice and tidy.

I would love if it were possible to have the Play store send the bill directly to my Ting account.

  • Hi Richard, that's a great suggestion, one I haven't heard before and will be sure to pass it on.

  • Hi Brent, this isn't possible with a Ting account. We don't have the same partnership agreements that Sprint has with Google, but we are still a growing company and your suggestions are important to us. Currently, we don't have any information to pass along, but thanks for asking.

  • I'd like to request the same for Ting GSM. The option from GPlay says "Use T-Mobile - US billing," but Help@ informs that won't work any better than trying to bill Sprint on CDMA.

More info: "Direct Carrier Billing" ( https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2651410?co=GENIE.CountryCode%3DUnited+States&hl=en )

  • Brennan,

Is this something that we are not able ot do then? I just subscribed to Google Play All Access Music and one of the options is to bill it to my Sprint bill. Am I able to select this option and it will be directly billed to my Ting account, or no?

If not possible, any information on getting this implemented?

  • Brennan,

Understood, and I completly see your point. Nonetheless, I'll be hoping to see this down the pipeline! Thank you for your informative and quick response.

  • I can understand not wanting a lot of $ 0.99 cent charges on your card.  As a work around for the time being there are a couple things you could do.

You can buy Google Play store credit in chunks.  I don't know how to get to it directly, but if you go to a paid app/movie/book and act like you will purchase. Then you will see the price, with a little arrow next to it.  Click on that arrow and you can select different payment options.  You can then select Google Play Credit and buy it in chunks.  That way you only get charged once on your card, and you can purchase away!

The other option would be to buy one of those pre-paid debit cards from the grocery store.  Personally this is what I do, and works great!
