My suggestion is to change the wording on our website when a customer is creating their account. Currently, the site asks them to enter a "Phone Number," among other credentials.
I've spoken with a lot of customers who, understandably, thought this meant to enter the number they'll be activating with Ting. This can be misleading when planning to activate a brand new number! For those activating an existing number, it means that the only way we can contact them by phone is through their Ting number if they enter it in the set-up process. This might cause problems down the road if we're helping them fix a problem with the phone itself.
I propose that the wording be changed to "Contact Number."
