How can I access my voicemail accounts from my phone without having the minutes charged to my plan?
i.e. is there a free alternative such as the *611 for ting help?

If you use your settings here to forward missed calls to Google Voice, you can then pick up your voice mails from Google Voice through any computer, including your phone. If your phone's on wifi at the time you've avoided using minutes. If your phone (or computer using it for a connection) on 3G or 4G, you're being charged, but by bits rather than minutes. Whether that comes out cheaper or not will depend on whether that's enough bits to push your data charge into a higher bracket or not.
Hi Partha,
Sorry, we do not offer a way to connect to your voicemail without using cellular minutes.
I have visual voicemail working on my LG Optimus S, which uses data instead of minutes for voicemail messages.
Maybe turn off your phone and call your number from another number... hit *... put your pin in... and check your vmail. The visual vmail option mentioned above also works.
Does Ting support Youmail or any other visual vmail apps? I'm having trouble activating Youmail despite the fact that they offer a Ting number for activating.
