text messaging not working

I have a basic Sanyo phone for about 1 week and text messaging was working great for the first few days but whenever I try and send a text message now my phone says "failed by user" and the text does not send. Help!

  • Have you checked the phone settings in the dashboard on the Ting website? I know you can enable/disable text messages that way. Maybe that got changed somehow.

  • My number is (608) 395-1787. It started working again this morning after 3 days of not working and absolutely no changes on my end. I'm glad it is working now but how do I keep this from happening again? btw the error message was "Failed: Cancelled by user" but I definitely didn't cancel the message and I'm not doing anything differently now that it is  working.
