Timeline update on Galaxy SIII

Hey, I ordered a galaxy SIII (16GB white) from you guys on Aug 2 with 3-6 weeks expected til it ships.  Was just wondering if there was an update on when those will be in stock.  I'm excited to get the new phone, and am hoping not to have to pay another month's service to the death star.

  • So, I'd take that to mean that that the unfilled Galaxy S III pre-orders (mine included) are simply waiting for the Ting warehouse to work through the shipping backlog and get them out the door? It's not a stock issue anymore? Thanks.

  • Hi all,

    We have shipped a LOT of devices in the last few days. I do not want to give anyone false hope, but it is possible that your device has shipped and we have not yet updated our system with the info which would give you the tracking number. We are working on improving the link between our warehouse and backend, but the truth is we decided to ship more phones sooner (as opposed to make sure everything was updated) so we could get the benefit of the weekend. 

    We will get an update out to everyone who is waiting for a device early next week.

    We are blessed with having an engaged user base, and we can really relate to waiting for a shiny new toy! We are pushing as hard as we can to get phones onto trucks for delivery. Thanks again for your patience and understanding!

  • One question I have is if you're shipping them out without finalizing the charges on our credit or debit cards, or if you're going to notify us at the same time you charge the cards.  The reason I'm asking is that I'm paying with a debit card, and a $500+ transaction is rather large for me, so I'd like to know when that is getting processed through my bank so that other things don't bounce on me.

    It was actually shipped on Friday and will be delivered to Missouri on Wednesday. Thanks Ting!

    We bill your card the same day it ships out, but it is possible that the shipping notification could be delayed.

    That said, it looks like we were able to charge you for the phone (which shipped yesterday, in case you didn't get the notification).

  • Yeah, I got the e-mail Monday night, so now I'm just waiting for the FedEx truck to arrive.
