How do I find my Account Number

I want to port 1 of my Ting phone numbers to another service and need my account number.  Cannot find the account number.

  • Hey Arvid,

    Your account number isn't currently visible anywhere within your Ting account. So with that in mind, I've emailed it to you.

    Please let me know if there's anything else.

  • This is terrible.  I am in the same boat, and Ting doesn't answer their phones on Saturday.  I think I found the wolf in the Ting Sheep's clothing.

  • If you need help after phone hours, you can try sending an email.  Often someone from Ting can help over email even when the support staff aren't on the phones.  Ting's phone support hours aren't 24/7, but personally the money I'm saving with Ting far outweighs any inconvenience.

  • I am in the same boat!  Need to port number from one (total dud of a device that was sent to me by ting) to another.  Have been without a cell for a week and now it arrives on Saturday and I can't activate it.  Unbelievable.  Seems like the account number should be fairly easy to find!!!

  • Yeah, over the last few weeks I have definitely seen the dark side of Ting.. last weekend obese sent two different pin codes for the same line, and now I just checked my dashboard and I'm still being charged for 2 devices that have been ported out - and guess what? There's no "remove device" option! They show as "not activated yet".

    They seem to do some things well, but ting was not a good fit for my usage or use needs.

  • On May 4th it was reported that in the near future the account number would appear in the dashboard. At TING, the near future has a different definition than the one most of us use. Saturday activation? Forget it. No, I won't be reffering my friends.

  • Hey Howard, You can see your account number now, it is posted at the top of your bills. We also have staff available to help with your activation over the phone 12:00-8:00 pm Eastern Time.

  • I need my account number to temporarily port my number back to Verizon (to get out from under their ETF, since of course I switched to Ting about 3 days before they announced their ETF relief deal).  The account number doesn't appear at the top of my Bills page as far as I can tell, and i haven't gotten an actual bill yet.  I just tried calling cust service (at about 10:30AM EDT on a thursday) and after about 4 1/2 minutes of apologetic hold announcements I got a recording suggesting I call back during "regular business hours"; I left a message asking if someone could just e-mail my account number to me, and still nothing.  Hoping that posting here might get some result.  I hate being a pest here, but i'm in a bit of a pinch.

  • @Skye, there's probably an easier way, but go to the Dashboard, click on Bills, then click on any "Monthly Usage" item -- there's an "Account Number" on the upper right.

    I really need to get my number ported out.  Looks like text a bit too much for this kind of a plan.  Haven't got my first full bill yet so I can't see my account #.  Any chance someone could get this over to me?  Hoping to have it ported out before the weekend is up.

  • Hey Michael, you're Ting account number is available by logging into your Ting account and clicking Settings. The account number is under the tab "Account Info."
