Tracking / shipping info for purchases??

I looked and did not find a topic on this.  If I missed it, feel free to point me to another thread.

It seems ting is not sending tracking number with orders anymore.  Is this the case, or is my friend just a "special case"?  Last phone I ordered was Sept 2012, and I received tracking number in my email notification.  His order on May 31st has no such info.

As he is expecting approx $1,000 worth of hardware, he'd really like to know when to expect it.  FEDEX has an annoying habit of leaving stuff on doorsteps.

    Our preorders and some regular orders for the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been sent out too quickly - without time to add the tracking numbers! Please have your friend contact us at help@ting.com  via the email address he used to sign up (or call us at 1-855-846-4389), and we'll be able to send him the tracking numbers.

  • Katie, a follow up...  I spoke with Ryan, and got my friend his tracking number.  All good!

    However, he also implied (was not sure though) that tracking numbers are not "normal process", but they are provided on request.  I guess it works either way, but my opinion is that they should be sent out as the standard.

    Here's why.  Ting is too different for most people.  They don't get that they can post to a forum and get an answer in 10 minutes (you rock BTW).  That they can email the help desk and get an answer quickly.  Or that they can call the service number and speak to a human being (Ryan rocks too). 

    These things are basically unheard of!  New custmers just won't default to that to get their tracking number because they think it will take them an hour on some voice menu system to ask their question.   :-)

    Until they actually start to use ting, they don't expect direct contact or rapid response.

    So, in summary, ting rocks, but so much so that new customers will take a while to fully appreciate it. 

    Send tracking numbers with shipment notification emails.

    We do usually send out tracking numbers with the shipping email, as we understand the trepidation that comes with ordering hundreds of dollars worth of goods. We're working on making sure that every single shipping email that gets sent out also contains the tracking number!

  • Hello, when ordering the Franklin hotspot I accidently applied an old E-mail address to my new acct.
    Since then I have edited this portion of the original e- mail I provided and now reads danpatton084@gmail.com. (which is current and correct) thank you...

    If you reach out to support they can confirm the shipping status and provide the tracking information link via email as it is linked to the order on your account.

    In your account you will only see confirmation that it has shipped so please do reach out for that tracking info.
