  • if error 16 is a regular problem, rather than tell everyone you're emailing the fix, why not just post the fix? im getting it (error 16 switch 394).

    The steps that we give to our customers to get around this has some information that we would rather not display on public forums, and the steps are different for each phone so one set of instructions might help one but confuse another.

  • Opened a ticket as well, activated an Optimus s, getting error 16. Popped out battery. Did not solve. Plz forward the fix.

  • @Lucas, call or email Ting to open a support ticket for this account-specific issue. Ting needs to offer phone & email as the *first* line of support, rather than this community forum. It gets tiring redirecting people because Ting makes their support options confusing. Community forum support should be offered as a *secondary* option, bot the primary one.

  • I purchased a new phone through ting and ported my old number. I checked my account and it said it was successful and active yet I cannot make or receive calls! It states "error 16, switch 386" Please help! Thanks.
