Cannot send text with multiple recipients or images
Answered

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 I ordered from Ting. I realized that lately that I cannot send a text message to multiple people or one that contains an image. I receive these types of text messages just fine. However, each time I try to send a text with an image or to multiple people I get a "Failed MMS" message. The phone also gives the messages that multimedia messages not supported by network and server response error.

It might be a coincidence, but this problem appears to have happened after my phone updated to Android 4.3. I did a quick google search and this appears to be an issue that has occurred with other S3 users. However, I did not see a resolution. One suggestion was to turn of WiFi when sending. I tried that but still got the same error.

Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue.

Thanks

  • Ok, after a little more research I found out that I needed to turn on a setting in my Ting account. This article helped me find what I needed.

  • Hi Christopher,

Glad you found that help article! Group messages are tied in with picture messages and need to be checked off on your account.

  • Hi I need help doing this, too, and I couldn't go to the link above - it said I didn't have access. Is there a fresh link?

...nevermind I found it here: https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/articles/205421968-Troubleshooting-Group-Messaging-
