In my phone status under mobile network state it says disconnected is it suppose to be like this if not how can I fix it?

I have a Nexus 5 and went through the activation process and I can now make calls and send and receive texts. But under the phone status in my settings under the Mobile network state it says that it is disconnected.

  • I am having this same issue; however, I could not advance past the "Activate Mobil Data Service" Screen. Now, I have no idea about how to establish the mobile network.

  • Hi Timm,  thanks for writing. Before going any further, have you been able to complete activation of your phone without any issues?  It might be worth giving it another try to ensure your network settings are configured correctly and the phone is up to date. Please follow these instructions to do so.

    If that continues after  reactivating it, please open a support request with our team and provide us with as much detail as possible so we can further investigate it.

  • I have a new Samsung and walmart family tmobile. Past two days I haven't been able to recieve or send calls. And 3 days ago I didn't have any service for the entire day. I've been to walmart no one knows anything. And I can't even call customer care from my phone. My phone says mobile state disconnected

  • When your phone is having this problem of mobile state disconnected and you can't recieve or call out with calls is this your phone or the service providers fault somehow? Such as tmobile
