  • Hi Susan.  Try performing a carrier reset.  Make sure that mobile data is enabled on your phone and on your Ting account (under 'Device Settings' click on your phone number and ensure that the box beside 'Can access the internet' is checked, then hit 'Save'.)

You will also need to know your MSL - from your Ting account, click on 'Device Settings' and click on your phone number - look for the 6 digit MSL on the left.

Then:From the home screen, tap the Phone icon.

    1. Dial ##72786#.
    2. Your MSL
    3. Tap Verify.
    4. Tap Yes.
    5. Your device restarts and begins a hands free activation.  When that completes, you should be good to go.

If you continue to have problems, open a support request and we'll trouble shoot further with you.

  • Hi Susan.

    Try this:

From the home screen, press and hold the Power key.

    Tap Airplane mode

This toggles airplane mode on or off.

  • Wow!  thanks Marty M. my phone said "no service" (the date and time were screwed up and when I placed a call, no sound), texting seemed okay, so I tried just pressing airplane mode (not the earlier carrier reset) and it worked!--cathy

  • I have tried repeatedly to contact my sister-in-law and my phone immediately says "call failed". I tried reaching her brother and the same thing happened. I NEED to reach her. My brother passed away 2 weeks ago and we need to stay in touch. I pay my bill so what gives??

  • Hey Dorothy,

It sounds like we need to do some troubleshooting that can't wait. I would recommend giving our help center a call at 855-846-4389 so we can get you back up and running as soon as we can.
