iPhone SIM card question
Answered

I just bought a used iPhone 4s thru glyde. It mentioned that it did not include SIM card. It will arrive on 2/23 and I need to activate ASAP. Do I need to purchase a SIM card to be best prepared to sign up with Ting?

In other words, what now?

Thanks,
Tom

  • Looks like you don't need a SIM card for the 4s.  "Unlike the iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s the iPhone 4s does not require a SIM card to activate. You can simply purchase one from Glyde, or find any Sprint version elsewhere, and activate."

  • I killed my Iphone 5S, drowned in a pool. I've ordered another and wondered if I can use the old sim card to retain the contacts, pictures etc.

  • Hey Herb.

The sim card does not retain contacts and pictures, it's merely for connectivity to either data or the network (depending on the type of sim card you have). Have you tried plugging the phone into your computer to see if you can back it up through iTunes?

  • Do I have to purchase a cdma SIM card from ting for an unlocked phone, either, iPhone 11 or XR,? Or can I get a c10  from the Apple store.

  • Hi Marcia,

If the Apple store has the Sprint C10 SIM cards available you can use one from there but if they don't you could purchase one from our shop page
