  • Do you happen to know whether the Conquer can be unrooted using SuperOneClick?

  • So long as it's a newer version which has the zergRush exploit built in.

  • Shawn, thanks for the response. I was a little nervous about rooting without knowing whether I could go back so I appreciate the information.

  • I rooted and installed CWMR on my Conquer.  Now Sprint sent out an update for Android.  Is it ok to install this or will it brick my phone?

  • Good question, I attempted to install it on mine but it just rebooted into a screen showing an android standing there with a white triangle and an orange exclamation point in the middle, I don't know if it will work without stock recovery installed anyway. I decided that since Sprint was very quiet on exactly what was changed that I'll wait to try again anyway.

  • From what I read, it is the Sprint update that removes Carrier IQ from their phones.  Someone created a CWM flashable version of the update on rootzwiki but because I removed some of the stock bloatware apps, it gives me an error.

  • I'm trying like crazy to root this stupid conquer. Coming from a captivate, this phones screen sucks. I'm hoping to get cdma workshop working to swap esn from this conquer over to my epic 4g. If I get anything going I'll let you guys know.

  • Michael, the zergRush method of rooting is the one that works on the version of the software when I purchased mine, not sure about the newest update though. The "Super OneClick" software includes the zergRush exploit in it.
