Help Getting Galaxy S3 HA/AAA Keys

Currently I have a (BYOD) Sprint Evo 3D working on my Ting account.

As Ting isn't yet allowing LTE devices such as the Galaxy S3 to be brought over, I am looking at swaping the ESN of the two.. Evo 3D and Samsung Galaxy S3. Both are Sprint Phones.

My Problem so far is getting the HA / AAA Shared keys.. Iam not even sure what those really are but I do want to save them just in-case I want to put the devices back to their original ESN.

I have tried almost every software I found in google searches :).. CDMA Workshop, DFS Tool, QPST, QXDM, LGNPST, and Even the free CDMA NV Items reader from CDMA Workshop site..

None of these is willing to read the HA / AAA Keys from my Sprint Galaxy S3.. Its Rooted with the latest update of Android 4.1.1 using FreeGS3 Rom.. based on the official update with few changes not much to make it the problem..

I been trying with the LGNPST but its not accepting my MSL key for some reason.. keep saying its incorrect.

I know I might get problem with data not working on my GS3 but that's ok for me.. I only really need Voice and Text.. if 3G works that's great.

Sorry about the long post but just trying to make everything clear :)

I hope somebody can help me with this.. Thank you!!!

  • I know this is not the How to manual but it might help.  I was reading over this article:

I hope this helps.  I am hopefully getting a sprint s3 this week and I want to work on using a donor phone to bring it to ting for now.

  • Hi Al,

I posted this in another thread in response to you, but I'm not sure if you would ever see it, so here it is again:

"To get the galaxy s3 ha/aaa keys you have to downgrade the modem on the phone to an older version. I can't remember which off the top of my head, but I'm fairly certain that the launch modem flashed with ODIN will resolve that issue."

However, off the top of my head I can tell you that the ha key for sprint is almost always the same across all phones, it's 736563726574. The aaa key however is individual to each phone.
