Rumored low-cost plastic iPhone: any chance Ting gets it?

Apple is rumored to be coming out with a lower-cost, plastic iPhone in the fall. They might call it the iPhone 5c. Is there any chance that this will be Ting's entryway to carrying an iPhone? Perhaps Apple will have easier requirements for the smaller carriers for this model? Just wondering out loud. This is all speculation. If Apple does announce this in the fall, I'll have my fingers crossed for a Ting announcement shortly thereafter. (Ting is probably under a non-disclosure agreement at the moment if this is in the pipeline.)

  • Hi John,

Seeing as we still don't have any idea on when we'll get the iPhone at all, I can't say for certain whether this will be a viable model that will work on Ting. We disclose everything to the best of our abilities, and I can safely say we have heard nothing of this specific model coming to Ting.

For updates on our mission to get Apple devices on Ting, please go to our devices page and scroll down to the drawing of the iPhone. Click Notify Me, and we'll email you whenever we have updates!
