What to do when traveling internationally?

Hi. We have a Galaxy S2 and we are traveling to Taiwan and the Philippines.  My understanding is that we can use wifi (ex: Viber) for free to make calls/text to other Viber users.  Do we have to disable voice/text/data to avoid international charges if say someone from the US calls/texts us while we are overseas?  Thank you.

  • Hi Jane.  Disabling the features in your Ting account (in Device Settings) is the best way to avoid charges (you can also disable roaming in the settings of your phone).  If you did want to use Ting service, both Taiwan and the Philippines have voice and text available.   Here's some information on using Ting outside the US.  If you have specific questions, please get in touch!
