Galaxy S6 Sprint
Answered

If I buy a Samsung Galaxy S6 from Sprint, will it work with Ting? It's a bummer that ting only offers the 32 GB model.

  • I would love to buy one from Ting, but they don't sell the phone I want. Can you point me to information about the "at least a year ago" bit?

  • BTW: I'm not talking about a prepaid phone. i understand that I need to buy one at full retail price (and without a service contract), but will this phone work? http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Sapphire-Sprint/dp/B00V7FWEX8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1432914053&sr=8-4&keywords=galaxy+s6+sprint

  • It is vaguely mentioned here. https://help.ting.com/hc/en-us/articles/205428888-My-device-didn-t-pass-a-financial-eligibility-check-what-now-

Device recently purchased from Sprint retail store or a big box store
This covers Sprint devices that were purchased at full price, off contract from a Sprint retail store or a big box store such as Best Buy, Target, or Wal-mart.

Return the device for a refund. These devices will not pass a FED check because they are treated as prepaid devices and need to be active for 12 months before they can be activated with Ting.
