which galaxy s5 model do I need to get 4g & use on ting?
Answered

I would like to buy a gs5, lightly used from amazon. I do not care if it's GSM or CDMA. There are a ton of models and some review indicate that some models only get 4g LTE overseas or vice versa. I plan to use the phone in Tampa, FL, USA....

can anyone recommend what model i should buy... if i buy an at&t used model, do i need to worry about it still being on contract or will it just "work"? and if i buy straight from amazon warehouse, can I assume the ESN will be clean?

  • If you have T-Mobile service, the best choice is probably a T-Mobile version of the phone. The AT&T version may not have all the bands for the best experience.

To use a Galaxy s5 on CDMA, it must be a Sprint version that was been activated on Sprint over a year ago. I doubt Amazon would be able to provide that assurance for an individual phone.
