Being charged for data you dont use
Answered

Kristopher, YOU are being charged for data you dont use. YOU are charged automatically for 101mb if you use it or not After that you are charged quite the increase for the next tier up to 501mb even if YOU only use 102mb

  • John,
I don't know where you got your ideas, but they are incorrect.
Ting realizes a smart phone uses a small amount of data to keep active on the network, so Ting does not charge for data usage of tha is all that is used.
Ting does not bump you to the next tier at 501mb. I believe they have a 5% grace allowance.
Do more research before spouting off next time.

  • Bruce, you answer made no sense. ting cant decipher a small amount of data to keep active, they charge you for ALL data used. I didnt say they bump you at 501 i said they bump you at 101 but they do bump at 501 since you mentioned it. the percentage doesnt happen until after you maxxed out xl or something like that. I think you need to do some homework and maybe learn how yo read.

  • Ting allows a small amount of data without charging. It shows up on the dashbpard & apps as being charged, but it is m=not billed. I have had a few months tha showed the minimal data usage but I was not charged for data. This is fact.
