paging systems on ting?

Hey guys,

So I work for a hospital that uses a paging system and we receive texts if there's a mass casualty incident, or even to pick up shifts. Each carrier likes to have a specific email that they use so that the pages get sent to the phone, however when I switched to ting on gsm I can't get the system to send me messages.

The format that they use for my Phone number would be xxx-xxx-xxxx@phonecompany.(net, com...etc) and the messages get sent as an sms message. at first the online rep said put down t-mobile as my carrier since it was their network that they use but that didn't work.

We don't have any support for this system, my supervisor set it up using outlook.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • For phones on our GSM network you will want to use your phone number @tmomail.net (xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net) The text you receive will count toward your messaging usage. Let us know if this helps!

  • Hello,

this is the address that we have been using and I am still not receiving the messages. I'm not sure what else to try.

  • To my knowledge there isn't anything needed to enable this service. I will run some tests on my end to see if I can figure out what might be blocking you up here.
