Wifi calling REG09 "Missing 911 Address" error
Answered

I have an LG G2 that I mostly use on wifi at my office or at home. At both location I some times see an error icon saying REG09 "Missing 911 Address". When this is up it disables wifi calling and uses normal radios. Some times if I turn off and on wifi calling, wifi radios, or the phone itself the error will go away. I tried following the phones instructions for registering the address associated with the wifi location for 911 but it wants a tmobile account to do it. It won't let me make a tmobile account because I don't have a tmobile phone number. What can I do?

  • Hi Dani, If you are a Ting customer and you are receiving the "Missing 911 Address" error you will need to contact our customer support to have the issue resolved. We have an option for online chat if you are unable to call at the moment. If you are not a Ting customer we would not be able to do to help I'm afraid and you would need to contact your mobile provider to have the issue resolved.

  • Howdy, Kalina!

This error is caused by a back-end setting that needs to be updated on the carrier side. If you're a Ting customer, get in touch with us at ting.com/support so we can update this setting for you and the error will go away.

If you are not a Ting customer, you'll need to contact your carrier who can update the setting for you and make the error disappear.

  • Hey Jacob,

I hate to sound like a broken record, but there's no new news on this. If you're a Ting customer, call us at 855-TING-FTW and we'll get this updated on our end to fix it.

If you're not a Ting customer, you need to reach out to your carrier (it seems like this is really common on MetroPCS) to fix the issue in their system.

  • Hey Kristen,

If you're a Ting customer experiencing the REG09 911 address error, you need to get in touch with us at ting.com/support so we can fix the issue on our end. If it's an emergency, call us at 855-TING-FTW.

If you're not a Ting customer, you'll need to contact your carrier so they can fix the issue in their systems, as this isn't something we're able to help you with if you're not a customer of ours.

  • Hi Isaac, there is no new fix to this issue than the one that has been posted.

If you are a Ting customer we will be able to give you a hand with fixing this error that you are receiving on your phone through our customer support line. All we need to do is put the correct information on to your Ting account so that your services will work properly.

If you do not use Ting as your cell phone provider though there is nothing that we can do to help you. You would need to contact your mobile provider who would have to give you a hand with the issue.

  • Hey Maggie, if you look at our other posts in this thread you'll see that we recommend reaching out to support to get this issue resolved. We can only fix this by accessing your Ting account and making some adjustments. If you aren't currently with Ting we can definitely help you switch your service over to us.

  • Hey Carolyn, If you're a MetroPCS customer you'll need to get in touch with them to get this fixed. Ting is a different cellular provider so we wouldn't be able to work on your phone because it's not active with us. If you want to switch to a more effective and responsive cell phone service give us a try!
