  • The link mentions it will work on T-Mobile. This means the phone will work on Ting GSM, but not Ting CDMA (Sprint).
You would also need a Ting GSM SIM.

  • From looking at the specification, it does look like it would be able to activate with Ting, but I am concerned with it's ability to connect for anything higher than 2G. It does list the 1700 MHz AWS frequency that we need on model, and the 2100 MHz band on the other. We would need to actually test one out on the network to be sure but I would only proceed with that device is you are comfortable with your data speeds being limited to the 2G Edge network.

  • Thank you Jason! I've ordered it and the Sim card I'll need today so hopefully things will go smoothly! ^_^ I talked to customer service through the text chat and they assured me that it would work. The phone I have now has it's data disabled as I used Wifi and let's be honest, I'm cheap lol. So I'll be doing the same with this phone so it's off Wifi data speeds aren't much of a concern for me. Thank you so much for your reply!

  • On its own the phone is fantastic. I can't tell you yet how it works with ting because USPS has lost my sim card. As soon as they figure out what happened to it, and finally get it to me (it was supposed to be here the 26th of September) I'll let you know.

  • Thank you Jason! I haven't received an e-mail yet though, just a heads up. ^_^

I was planning on contacting ya'll soon but with the way my work schedule has been I've barely had time to wake up, grump at the usps on the phone, and then bolt off to work. lol.
