  • Hey there Brian,

If you're looking to buy the LG V10 unlocked, you will most likely find the international version of the phone which is not compatible with the 4G LTE bands we support here at Ting. You can buy that if you wish but you wouldn't get the fastest internet speeds that we can offer.

I would instead look for the T-Mo version of the phone to ensure it supports the frequencies we do. Provided there are no funds owing on the phone at its original carrier, the T-Mo version of the LG V10 will work on Ting without the need for unlock. I found a few for sale on eBay, and you can go there with the link below:

Hope this helps you in your decision. Happy new year!

  • I'd like to buy a new LG V10 from T-Mo. Will they sell me just the LG V10 with no cell plan from them?

  • I assume from the page http://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phones/lg-v10.html
you should be able to buy one for $599.99 plus, possibly, $15 for a T-Mobile SIM. The page says if you cancel T-Mobile service the full price of the phone is due.

  • That @ $600. is for the 32GB model... only one available online at T-Mo... and will not sell just the phone.

For the 64GB one, afaik, one has to go to the local T-Mo store. I am not a customer of theirs, and I think they will not sell me the phone without getting a plan there as well.

    I'm concerned w/ buying a used LG V 10.

  • Hi Brian! Took a look at that link. It's unusually vague in that it doesn't list the frequency bands the phone supports, but it does say the phone is T-Mobile. As long as it's unlocked, it should work with us, but we wouldn't be able to super-duper guarantee it unless we had the IMEI number of the phone, with which you could then check the phone's compatibility here: http://www.ting.com/byod

So I think the answer to that one is "most likely, as long as it is unlocked".
