Google Play store and my android LGV10 Ting phone > Apps will not install

BUMP...from other forum...no response...

I have downloaded and installed apps from Google before. Suddenly, a week ago or so I no longer can do that.

I believe it's an issue of different accounts and PW's on Google Play and my phone. Per some instructions on the Google Play support pages, a friend tried removing Google accounts and app data from Google Play services. We then could not re-install... Just a total FUBAR mess at this point.

I backed up my photos, music, and pictures to my LGV10 SD card. But I don't know how to save my phone/email contacts... as I think I may have to do a factory reset of the phone and start over?.... to get the Play store and my phone re-united.

It's like The Twilight Zone meets 'Catch-22'.

HELP.....

  • Hey Brian,

You can check if your contacts are synced by heading to https://contacts.google.com on a desktop browser and signing in with your Google account.

If you see your contacts there, they're backed up with Google and you can safely factory reset without losing them.

  • Mitch...

Thx. Yes, my contacts are there.

So, do you think at this point that I should reset the phone?

    And then do what?

  • If you haven't yet, get in touch with our support team before you reset your phone. They can troubleshoot with you before you decide to reset and start over.

If it comes to that, a factory reset should reunite your phone and the Play Store.

  • I did reset the LGV10. That solved everything. Google Play store will now work for me.
