I'm not getting voicemail notifications. Is there a way to get it working again?
Have you tried clearing data for the Phone app? That's usually the best place to start. Then a quick reboot tends to fix it. If that doesn't fix it, get in touch with our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can troubleshoot, including removing and adding a voicemail box to your account.
I have done those things and I still get the message, "can't update visual voicemail"
What version of the Visual Voicemail app are you running?
the version is 16.0.184899494
It looks like they sent out an update over the Play Store 3 days ago. I can't see the version number, but can you jump in to the Play Store and make sure that update has been applied?
I have checked i have the latest update of three days ago. My installed version matches the play store latest version
Can you uninstall updates to the Phone app, and verify you're having the same problem with the default version the phone came with?
I have uninstalled updates, which has put me to version 12.1.169291223. The same issue persists. I still get the message, "can't update visual voicemail"
The app store updated visual voicemail again since i removed its updates as part of the troubleshooting today and i was prompted to enable visual voicemail again, then i received a VM notification and was able to listen to it via the app. It seems to be working again.
