I recently decided to give Ting a try and so I gave Ting a call to verify if they had service in my area of Durham NC. I did this twice just to make sure I would receive services before they sent out the SIM card and I was assured both times I would have no issues. When I received my SIM card and installed it i was having network connection issues and after 2 hours of trying to figure it out I contact TING customer service. Within 2 minutes the rep was able to tell me exactly what my problem was.
I was then informed they had NO coverage in my area. Needless to say I was very upset. I had just canceled my phone contract with my previous carrier and here i was being told by Ting that there was nothing they could do or would do and they were sorry about the mix up. At this point I felt it would be good to post here so others do not have the same problem. I would doubly make sure Ting is not misleading you before switching services.
