Pixel - CDMA - stopped sending/receiving MMS

I have a Google Pixel on CDMA. All of a sudden, I am no longer able to send or receive MMS. I checked my account and everything is properly enabled. I can connect to WIFI and LTE.

  • Hey Brian,

I won't go into account details in a public forum, but I hope you can use these three pieces of info to gather what needs to change.

    1. MMS absolutely requires an active data connection in order to download.

2, When your account reaches 5120 MB, by default we have a cap that suspends your data.

    3. On our CDMA network, sometimes you need to reset provisioning with *#*#72786#*#* when your data gets suspended in order to update your profile.

As long as the CDMA profile is reset, you should be good to go. If you're not, give our support a ring and we'll help get your MMS working again.

  • I appreciate the quick response. I will follow your steps. As for data usage, I signed up for the unlimited talk, text, data promo so there should not have been a cap.

  • Ah. The unlimited pilot program might not take data usage into account, which is common with these pilot programs. Once you remove the cap from your account (in your dashboard under "Usage Alerts") and update the profile on your phone, you should be good to go.

  • I just wanted to report that your solution worked like a charm! Thank you so much for your help. I'm sure working on the holidays wasn't high on your "want-to-do" list. Nevertheless, I appreciate your help. Happy Holiday!

  • Ting takes care of its employees. Those of us who are here on the holidays are here largely voluntarily, as the traffic tends to be really low. Thank you for your concern!

I'm really glad that worked out for you, and if you keep that alert deleted, it shouldn't happen again.

Happy Holidays to you and yours, too!
