Switching to iphone xr

Hi, I’m switching from an iPhone 6s to Xr.  Currently on Ting CDMA.  Purchased the phone from the apple store and would like to know if I can reuse the SIM card.  Want to keep the same phone number.  Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Hi Mike,

With the switchover from the 6S to the XR you are going to need a new SIM card to connect it to the CDMA network. You'll need one of our C10 SIMs which can be found here.

As for keeping the same number that is totally possible. You'll be swapping the number from the 6S to the XR when you have the SIM to connect it. We have a guide that walks through that process here but always feel free to reach out to our customer support team by phone or online chat and one of our representatives will be more than happy to help.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I'll be happy to help.

  • hello i have a question i want to buy a iphone xr from the apple store and i never used this company i would like to know if i buy the iphone xr i will be able to activated with you guys when i buy the sim card and the franklin hotspot

  • Hi Diana,

iPhone XR is compatible with our network. When you are purchasing it from the Apple store make sure that you are getting the unlocked or carrier-free version of the phone. You'll be able to then activate it once you have the SIM card for it. If you need a hand with the activation when we do have a great guide that walks you through the steps. I'll link you to it here
