Customers have expressed on more than one occasion that they would love to see the usage for past bills broken down to reflect more similarly to the way it is displayed on the current usage tab.
I know that it's beneficial for cost purposes to keep multiple lines on one account so they can share their buckets and ultimately split the costs but one issue I've come across with past bills is that there is no grand total per line, per feature. This means, if the kids are responsible for paying their own way in terms of the phone bill, the parents are stuck with the task of going through calls/texts/megabytes and adding them all up in order to really see who's using what.
Of course I know that cost wise-it's not as simple as adding up the totals and then figuring out which bucket applies and asking the kids for that total dollar amount since as I said earlier, they do share buckets based on usage. I just think it would be much easier to calculate percentage of usage used per line for parents if we at least had a grand total of minutes/texts/megabytes used listed in some way.
For instance, I spoke with a gentleman today who saw that their past bill which was just paid, was a lot higher than usual. He was able to easily see that the culprit for this added cost was cellular data since he was in a larger bucket than he'd been in previously but now he needs to figure out who it was that used more data in order to discuss this with them and possibly even set up usage alerts/caps ect. In order to find this out, he would need to go through and calculate each MB of usage for each line to really get the gist of who is responsible. This process would be much easier if he was able to catch it before the bill had closed since he could see a summary of usage displayed right beside the devices for each bucket so I think if we had a feature like this which summarized use on closed bills, it would make the whole process run much smoother, especially for parents who do this each month!
