No service...

I've never had a problem with 'no service' until today. I haven't been able to connect to the GSM mobile network...AM I the only one?

  • Hi Julie,

I went ahead and reset your connection from your account so please restart your device and try to connect. In the event there is an outage you can use Wi-Fi calling to get a signal in the meantime but please call in to support to check on the status of the towers in your area if the restart does not help.

  • Thanks. The reset did not work. I did call the help line but the wait was a bit long, so I'll need to call back later. My phone is an unlocked T-Mobile phone, samsung galaxy core prime.  not sure if that is causing the issue.

  • Hi Julie,

It is probably not the phone that is causing the issue so we'll need you to connect with one of our live representatives so that they can look at the towers near by you.

I do apologize for the longer than normal wait times we are having because of a migration of customers to our service. We are working hard to get back to our call and we'll pick up support that everyone is used to and we all appreciate your understanding and patience as we work towards it.

  • Hey Dan,

This could be any number of things from just a network settings thing all the way up to and including a hardware failure.

I would start by resetting your network settings at Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

If that fails, you'll want to back up and restore your iPhone in iTunes.

If that fails, check with a local repair shop to weigh your options.
