Messenger message

I keep getting messages on my phone saying your Messenger verification code is and then it is always a letter of the alphabet but the number after keeps changing.

What to do to get rid of it or get it resolved.

  • Hey Janet,

    You're not alone.

This is probably two-factor authentication for Facebook Messenger. Either someone is attempting to get into your Facebook Messenger account repeatedly, or has used your phone number to register for an account and now cannot get back in.

You can try to get rid of them by replying "STOP" to one of the messages and seeing what comes back. These messages are usually triggered by a person, rather than a computer, but the STOP response is usually picked up by a computer and hopefully should have some further steps for you.
