Cannot port my number + new TING SIM card reported as invalid?

Two things: when porting my current cell number I get: "You can not port and byod from T-MOBILE USA, INC."  However, my current cell number was ported to Google fi a couple years ago, and not sure why tmobile would be an issue anyways.

Secondly, when I tried to activate the newly received SIM card from TING, I am being told it is not valid.

 

ugh... please help.

    The BYOD issues usually means we just need to use a placeholder device to port and then swap your number to your phone after, I'll email you to help get that started. I'll also take a look at the SIM for you so please do look for an email from me in the next couple of minutes.
