Seeing hotspot data usage by time/date

On Freedom Pop, there was a nifty feature on the web page where you could see each little bit of data that you used.

Entries looked like those shown below.  I could not find anything similar on the Ting site.  Is there such a thing?

It was really nice being able to see the usage as it occurs

Entries looked like:

Date Time Source Data
7/15/19 5:33 PM Plan Usage 1.88 KB
7/15/19 5:03 PM Plan Usage 6.53 KB
7/15/19 4:57 PM Plan Usage 651 Bytes
7/15/19 4:51 PM Plan Usage 10.95 KB

  • Hi Carol,

There is a feature like this on your Ting My Account as well. When you log in you will be taken to your current usage page and we will have three dials shown so that you can see your total usage for you talk, text and data on your account. Below these dials will be the individual lines on your account and these are what you are going to want to click to get to the information that you are looking for. Locate the number for your hotspot under the megabyte section, click on it, and you will be taken to a page with the breakdown of usage by date and data used.

You can also do this for minutes or texts and if you ever need to see the previous usage it can be found in the Billing History section of your Ting My Account.

I hope this information helps but if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

  • Yes, thank you.  I had found the "dials", but it hadn't occurred to me to click on "Megabytes".

    A couple of notes:

    1) It seems the granularity is only to the date level.  The FreedomPop display showed the time of each usage as well.

    2) I'll have to keep an eye on it to see if it is really accurate.  A bit too soon to tell.

  • We don't include the exact time but the amounts and data should still match up with what you have on your device as these reports are coming directly from the cell tower you were connected to.
