  • Hi Matt,

MMS would require that some settings be entered in your device called APNs, we have a guide you can follow to enter the Ting APNs on your device.

Once those have been set up you should just need a cellular data connection to be able to use MMS, if you're still having trouble after entering the APNs and while connected to cellular data I would suggest reaching out to support for help troubleshooting.

  • I have already tried this.

when editing APN I get message "Carrier does not allow adding APNs of type dun."

When ,dun is removed but everything else is the same, everything works except picture messages.

  • Hmm DUN would generally only impact the ability to tether, do you see any difference in trying MMS when connected to cellular data as opposed to Wi-Fi?

Another option would be to try entering the T-Mobile APNs as the OnePlus devices seem to like them better for some reason.

  • Moved from MI to WY. Back in MI, Sprint coverage was pretty spotty at home. Here in WY, our phones are on "Domestic Roaming". Phone coverage is far far better, but being on DR, pictures via messaging does not work either sending or receiving and was verified by Customer Service.

  • Jack,

That's expected behavior. Picture messaging requires a data connection, which is not provided while roaming domestically.

While Domestic Roaming, we only offer talk and text coverage, which does not include MMS, also known as picture messaging.

If you have questions about this, please feel free to let me know here, and I can expand a bit on the concept.
