Post-Introductory Rates and New Phone Data Transfer

I am a former FreedomPop user. I have two questions: Once the introductory rate expires at the end of March, what will my new rate be? Also, if I purchase a new phone through Ting are you able to transfer all of my apps, pictures, etc to the new phone, or would that be up to me? I am very satisfied with my service so far and I hope I can stay with Ting for the long term. Thanks!

  • Hi Allen,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm more than happy to answer those questions for you.

First, once the rates expire in March you would be on our standard Ting rates which can be found here. If you use our bill estimator on the rates page it will show you what it would cost to be on Ting after your promotional rates expire.

With a new phone, we wouldn't be able to transfer all your information over from one phone to the other. This would be something that you would need to do at home but it is very straight forward. If you are going from an Android phone to an Android phone you can back up your information through Gmail or your computer and transfer the information over. Same with Apple. When you purchase your phone and have it in your hands feel free to reach out to our customer support team who can send you specific articles on how to transfer your information. We can't do it for you but we can make it as easy as possible.
