With no usage is there an automatic service disconnect?

Hi,

I am using Ting for a GPS tracking system in case of theft and there will be months where there is 0 voice, 0 data, 0 SMS usage.  I thought I read somewhere a long time ago that if there was 0 total usage that the line will be disconnected or something like that, is that true?

  • Hi Josh,

    We will not disconnect the line if there is 0 usage but you will still be billed the line fee for the phone number active on the SIM/GPS device so keep that in mind.

    If you were to expire all of the phone numbers/device/SIMs on your account we would close the account but if you simply need to park a phone number or have a situation like yours where there will be 0 usage some months there is no need to worry about us disconnecting that service.
