Forwarding Calls to Google Voicemail after Switching to Verizon

I'm still waiting on a response from Ting but has anyone that switched to the Verizon sim cards and that use Google Voicemail been able to get it to work? When using a Sprint Sim I was able to go into my Ting Settings and use my Google Voice Number in the Call Forwarding if No Answer box however that option is no longer there since switching.

  • I have! It's pretty simple. With the V1 SIM installed:

On your phone, open the Phone app. Call *71[Your Google Voice number]. After you hear the confirmation of forwarding, you can hang up.

Call *90[Your Google Voice number]. Listen for confirmation, hang up.

Call *92[Your Google Voice number]. Once more, listen for confirmation and hang up.

That's it! All calls will forward to your GV number again and your GV Voicemail will pick up.

  • I only need forwarding for voicemail, not everything. I use my ting number for everything else.Which one might that be?

  • That's conditional call forwarding, which is just the *71 option laid out above. This limits your Google Voice features if you only use conditional call forwarding, but should allow you to use Google Voice Voicemail.

  • Okay, I just did it. The automatic recording said "calls will be forwarded to xxx-xxx-xxxx." Hopefully that doesn't mean all calls.

  • From their website:

All calls: Call *72 + new number
Only when busy/no answer: Call *71 + new number
    Turn off forwarding: Call *73

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!
I want you to know that this is the first time in like 5 phones in many years that I have been able to set up my voicemail by myself without having to contact a Ting employee.
    thank you.
