Can I bring any iphone, or does it have to be unlocked. are those that are tied to AT&T for example, not able to transfer?

Thanks for reaching out! Your device does need to be unlocked to work with Ting. If its locked to AT&T, you can try to unlock it through their unlocking website. It usually takes them 1-2 business days to unlock it given that you meet their eligibility requirements. Feel free to reach out to our live support if you have any other questions.
