Lost phone number

I have spent the last week, everyday, with Ting customer service.  They have lost my phone number in the transfer.  I also did not get emails, perhaps they went to my spam, I don't know.  However in the last week they have assured me that in 24 or 48 or 4 hours my number would be up and running.  Today the informed me that it is impossible to get my number back.  I asked for a supervisor, but apparently one must get on a list and they will call, no email.  I have no phone service.  I have been a Ting customer for years, and I have entrusted them with my information including my phone number.  That was my phone number, not Ting's property, and I want it back. Ting needs to be accountable.

  • Just wanted to provide an update on this issue to those that may also see it. We were able to assist Margaret in retrieving the number back through this post that another customer also had the same issue. Those that are experiencing the same issue, please don't hesitate to post below or reach out to our live support for assistance.

  • Please, I would like to retrieve my number too. I did not get *any* e-mail or other notifications that this was going to happen. My cell service simply stopped working today. I am appalled that Ting didn't contact me. I checked my e-mail archives and there is nothing. Please help!

  • I have also lost my phone number with absolutely no notice from ting. I received no email, no text, no call, no letter… absolutely nothing! How in the world was I supposed to know this if I wasn’t informed?!! Now the number I’ve had for over 20 years is just “lost” with no capability of getting it back. What a terrible company! I’m honestly thinking of doing a class action lawsuit.

  • Just an update that Allison somehow magically got my phone number back for me, and combined with my new SIM card my phone is now working again, at my same old longtime phone number. What a relief!! Allison is my hero!!!!!!
