While Ting doesn’t offer a feature to block calls from specific numbers, there are other ways to avoid unwanted calls and texts:

Use your phone’s built-in features: Many smartphones include call-blocking capabilities.
Download an app: If your phone doesn’t have native blocking options, apps can do the trick.

Call blocking on android

Some Android phones can block calls right from the Phone app, sending unwanted numbers directly to voicemail.

Here’s how to block a number:

Open the Phone app.
Tap More (three dots or menu icon).
Select Call history.
Choose the number to block and tap Block / report spam.

Call bocking on iPhone

An iPhone running iOS 6 or later can block both calls and texts:

Calls: Blocked calls go straight to voicemail.
Texts: Messages from blocked numbers won’t be delivered.

How to block a caller:

Open the Phone app.
Navigate to Favorites, Recents, or Voicemail.
Tap the info button (next to the number or contact).
Scroll down and tap Block Caller.

If your phone doesn’t support native call blocking, apps can help:

Call Control - Call Blocker (Android only):
- Features include blocking blacklisted numbers, muting the ringer, or sending calls to voicemail.
- Advanced options let you block entire area codes or unwanted text messages.
Hiya (Android | iOS):
- Hiya identifies unknown numbers as spam, important contacts, or potential callers like a doctor’s office.
- Offers personalized block lists and the ability to report spam callers.
